Here in the southern states where football is king, tailgating has become a tradition. So, we decided it was time to add this tradition to collegiate hockey. Earlier this year we tailgated in January and February – it was a bit cool, but it was not bitterly cold with blizzard conditions, so why not tailgate. Linda, our collegiate hockey aficionado, rallied the troops, picked up a portable grill and we were officially hockey tailgating. Below are a few photos of our first two experiences and next weekend we plan to open the Oklahoma University Hockey season with two tailgates.
