When you head off on your hockey travels do you plan ahead and search for great spots for food and drink along the way? Do you like modern contemporary restaurants and pubs? Or something old, with character and a bit of adventure? The past two seasons while on my hockey travels I’ve thought a great deal about making my journeys as entertaining as the end result, which is of course some great hockey games, and I have discovered some wonderful places along the way with the help of locals and others who have traveled the same path before me.

I created a Pinterest Foursquare board with Food & Drink locations marked — at the moment it contains about 215 locations, but I have discovered the mobile app is a bit of pain to use — which, let’s face it, is how you want to utilize such a list — when you are on the road! In an effort to make it easier, I have started to break the list down by state and will continue adding to the list. Be patient — it takes a while to load all of the locations (therefore the desire to break the list down to individual states or groups of states.)

Travels – Road Food & Drink Along the Route

Visit the site and let me know if you have favorite additions to add to the list! Many are centered around hockey rinks and routes, but I’ve also added other places I’ve visited before, or which have been highly recommended. Who knows where you will end up on your journeys to a hockey game.
